About this directory
The Nurse Residency Directory catalogs 1,213 nurse residency and fellowship programs across the United States and ten other countries. Every record is sourced from official accreditation registries — primarily the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Practice Transition Accreditation Program (ANCC PTAP) and the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program — and refreshed quarterly. The directory is independent, free for nurses, and operated by Global Cyber Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Filter by specialty — critical care / ICU, emergency, perioperative, pediatrics, oncology, labor & delivery, neonatal, cardiac, psychiatric / mental health, transplant, ambulatory, and more. Filter by setting — academic medical center, acute care hospital, community hospital, pediatric hospital, federal / VA, military, specialty hospital. Filter by accreditation — ANCC PTAP, Vizient/AACN, CCNE. Filter by career stage — new-grad RN, experienced RN, advanced practice. The URL reflects every filter you set, so any search you build is shareable and bookmarkable.
Each program detail page links directly to the program's own application URL on the hospital's website — we do not stand between you and the source. Cohort dates, salary ranges, and prerequisites are filled in by program coordinators who claim their listing; where they have not, the page shows "Not yet provided" honestly rather than fabricating data. If you spot something out of date, every program detail page has a "Spot something wrong? Tell us" link that opens a one-screen correction form. An admin reviews each correction within a few business days.
